Bad eBay experience

I use eBay quite frequently. I recently had a bad experience.  I wanted to post this NOT to be vindictive, but to warn others away from this seller if they happen to Google him.  I’m putting this here as a record so that hopefully he won’t be able to do this to someone else. I don’t want anyone else to have to go through the hassle that I went through.

I won an item from eBay user knuc_larr (email: bwarry@yahoo.com, eBay profile: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=knuc_larr&ftab=AllFeedback). After not receiving it (I waited over 2 weeks) I contacted him and he told me the following:

“I am not going to sell that [item] that cheap go ahead and get a refund from paypal, that is a $60 [item],the seller has the right to reject a bid,I never accepted your bid.”

Obviously, he either doesn’t know or care how eBay works.  I won the auction.  He did not set a reserve on the auction.  He decided not to sell the item after I paid what he considered too low of a price. He was also being deliberately shady by not immediately refunding my money when I won the auction.  If he had no plans to ship the item, why did he wait 2+ weeks for ME to contact HIM? Like I said: shady.

I would avoid doing business with him.

Little Dribblers wrap-up

First, a disclaimer: this is the Taylor family website.  I’m assuming that people reading it want to hear about our family.  I’m not necessarily bragging on my son, but that *is* kind of the purpose of this site.  🙂  If you had a kid on the team don’t take this post out of context.  I’m just a proud dad.

I was going over some of the numbers for our team and game.  Here are some things that jumped out at me:

  • We averaged 14.2 points in our 5 games.  We finished 4-1.
  • Andrew scored 37 points this season which averages to 7.4 points over those 5 games.  In other words, he scored over half our points.
  • Andrew also averaged 5.6 rebounds.
